This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"), a personalized AI-powered wine tasting note tool.

  • Wine Tasting Data: This is the core functionality of our App. We collect the data you actively input, such as the wine name, region, vintage, tasting notes, ratings, food pairing suggestions, purchase price, and any images of wine labels or tasting moments you upload.

  • AI Personalization Data: To provide personalized AI-driven insights (such as flavor profile analysis or wine recommendations), we may analyze your tasting history and stated preferences (e.g., favorite grape varieties or regions).

  • Device and Usage Information: To improve user experience and troubleshoot issues, we may automatically collect device information, including your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, and your browsing behavior within the App.

  • Photo Access: When you upload wine labels or tasting photos, we will request access to your camera or photo library. We do not access or read any other data stored on your device.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?
We use the information we collect primarily to provide, maintain, and improve our services:

  • To create and manage your account.

  • To store, manage, and sync your wine tasting notes across your devices.

  • To utilize AI algorithms to generate tasting reports, recommend similar wines, or provide purchasing insights based on your records.

  • To improve and optimize our AI models for better label recognition and tasting analysis (using anonymized data).

  • To send you service-related notifications (e.g., backup completion) or feature updates via email or push notifications.

  • To detect and prevent fraud and ensure the security of our App.

3. Will Your Information Be Shared with Anyone?
We value your privacy highly. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited situations:

  • Data Storage Providers: We may use third-party cloud service providers (such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud) to host your data. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

  • AI Model Training (Special Note): Your personal tasting notes are primarily used to serve you. If we use aggregated or anonymized data to improve our general AI models (for example, to improve the accuracy of wine label recognition for all users), we ensure that this data cannot be traced back to you personally.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We will retain your personal information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

  • Account Data: We keep your information until you delete your notes or terminate your account.

  • Account Deletion: When you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have provided one) or through a prominent notice within the App prior to the change becoming effective.
